Are You a Christian Working in the Fire Service?
Transform Work have been in touch with Firefighters for Christ (FFC) in Northern Ireland for some time now, and I have often wondered why something isn’t set up in England, Scotland or Wales. Well.... it’s my delight to tell you that it seems God is on the case and has nudged a recently retired firefighter, Simon Hewitt based in Suffolk to light the way for England.
God has put a passion in him to set up FFC in England. The mission of FFC is ‘To encourage firefighters to live their lives for Jesus Christ’ (Heb 10:24-25). Simon has been on mission with FFC to help and support firefighters in other countries, such as spending time on duty with the Los Angeles Fire Department. Simon has seen the importance of fellowship with other Christian firefighters and benefited first hand, and wants to support and encourage others to live their lives for Jesus Christ.

If you are struggling with your faith, working in the fire service, wondering how you can keep your integrity, or feeling isolated and lonely as a Christian, please get in touch with Simon. If you have a strong faith in Jesus and love to live for Him in your station and have testimonies to tell, again please get in touch with Simon. Together you can help other Christians as well as together being a positive influence and benefit to the fire service as an organisation. It doesn’t matter if you are in the office doing admin or on the frontline as a firefighter, Simon is keen to support and encourage you so you can live for Him and make a positive impact in work.
