Christmas is one of the most natural times for a Christian Workplace Group to share faith at work. Colleagues are often more open to conversations about hope, celebration, and meaning, and the season provides plenty of easy opportunities from carol concerts and Christmas cards and chocolates to Christmas lunches and charity projects.

Why not watch the attached video, where Ben from a well-known financial institution shares five practical ideas to help your group get Christmas ready? He also shares some of his experiences whilst planning and putting on Christmas events. His suggestions can help you plan with purpose rather than letting the season pass by.

Consider simple steps such as sending thoughtful Christmas cards, hosting a lunchtime carol event, running a Christmas quiz, or inviting colleagues to a church service. You could also serve practically collecting gifts for those in need or supporting colleagues who find the season difficult. Workplace groups can organise events, work constructively with HR, and create opportunities to share the gospel in a welcoming way.

Most importantly, pray together for your workplace, ask God for open doors, and keep every invitation warm and respectful. Christmas is not about adding pressure to an already busy season; it is about joyfully making space for colleagues to encounter the hope at the heart of the story.
