We Did It! - Celebrated the 20 Year Journey of Transform Work
So who does this... chooses to celebrate their 20 year celebration in a field with no rain cover and no electricity at the end of September? Well... we do at Transform Work!*!*! When Richard Gamble, Founder of The Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, invited us to use the land we couldn't resist.
It was a real privilege for Transform Work not only to partner with the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer but be invited to use their land, a field, for our afternoon celebration. It was such a great opportunity for all of us to gather and pray on this land. We heard Richard Gamble's amazing testimony of how The Lord has led him to this point (check out the interview below). Dr Jonathan Oloyede gave an inspiring and challenging talk about multiplication and how important it is for Christians to multiply taken from Deuteronomy 1:11. Read more about Jonathan's work with National Day of Prayer here.
We also experienced rousing and informative talks from Transform Work's very own Ros Loaker (CEO) about the history of Transform Work. She took us on a whistle stop journey of the years since 2003. Together we honoured those who have ploughed the ground and sown seeds of endless, passionate time, talent and treasure into this workplace ministry starting with our Founders Revd Dr Clifford and Monica Hill and the days of Clapham Connection, Christian Professional Association Executive, Christian Workplace Forum to Transform Work UK.
Mal Shaw (Trustee Director) took over and shared how the Lord showed us we are a global organisation as so many of our Groups are global which resulted in another name change in our 20th year to Transform Work. Mal highlighted the need for financial support if we are to fulfil our 3-5 year strategy which is coupled with the need for increasing prayer for Transform Work and those we seek to serve. He also highlighted the opportunities to partner with likeminded ministries in the UK and internationally as the Lord leads us.
Worship was led by Ofonimeh Abudu (Trustee Director) who led with exuberance and joy, giving thanks to The Lord through song for sustaining this work for 20 years and giving our Father, Son and Holy Spirit all the glory and praise.
We then heard two fantastic testimonies. Tony Gale from the Christian Police Association and Paul Mew who leads a Christian Workplace Group in his local council as well as co-leading the Local Authorities Christian Network, after which Brian Raj shared his personal workplace story before leading in us all in a Workplace Declaration. You can hear Paul's testimony here.
Julian Shellard (Chair of the Board of Trustees) closed in giving thanks highlighting our amazing Ambassadors, Associates, Financial Supporters, Office Team, Hubb.Church, fellow Board members past and present. After closing in prayers of thanks, he popped open a bottle of bubbly and we celebrated with cake and bubbles.
Thank you to all who were determined to come and be part of this celebration, from the heights of Aberdeen to Taunton in the south and those in between. You managed to navigate the train strikes and Covid. We bless and thank you.
Lastly to say, Richard gave out a plea..."I can build this wall of a million bricks, but we need your help, we need your workplace answered prayers. So that when someone comes on this site from the police, or insurance or dentistry and sees an answered prayer in their profession or sector, it could be life changing for them. Visit our website and please add your testimony." eternalwall.org.uk/testimony

So many great stories from Paul in this interview. God totally led him from his studies to his career to winning the competition to be the architect for this amazing God ordained project.
