Changes at Transform Work UK

TWUKU Logo 3x2
After many years of being a core member of the TWUK team, Michael Coveney has decided to step down as a Trustee and Support Services Lead.

During his time with us, Michael has made an enormous contribution to the development of TWUK.  Our governance and management arrangements have improved beyond recognition under his guidance. Michael is now going to spend more time on some of his other ministry commitments. These include his leadership role in his church as well as being involved with the running of a homeless shelter and outreach to those living in a local nursing home.

We are desperately sorry that Michael is leaving us, but I am sure that you will want to join with all of us at TWUK in wishing him all the very best for the future and pray that he will receive God’s blessings in all that he does.

As Michael is leaving, so two others have joined our team. Transform Work UK is delighted to welcome two new lead ambassadors. Femi Idowu and Joe Walsh are joining our other two Lead Ambassadors, Ros Turner and Elizabeth Ukiomogbe. This significantly increases our front-line capacity to work with Christian Workplace Groups.

Femi Idowu retired in September 2016 from the Brent Council, Wembley Park, where he started a Christian Workplace Group with just a handful of employees.  This grew to over 230 within a 7 year period.  He has a wide experience and knowledge of issues related to Christians in the workplace.

Femi is the coordinator of Christians United in Prayer (CUP), a mobile para-church organisation that runs the CUP Study Centre. He also presents a weekly Christian show 'Drinking From The Cup' on ‘Prayz.in Radio’ and anchors a monthly Live on Facebook prayer session 'CUP Quarter Pounder Prayer Package'. He has authored one Christian book 'Ready to Run' and is passionate about preaching the word of God.

Joe Walsh left BT in 2016 where he had worked in senior roles across the business for over 23 years.  He was on the leadership team of the BT Christian Network for 6 years with specific responsibility for the homeworker’s fellowship, and also for building-based fellowships around the UK.  He is an active church and cell group leader, he is also a worship leader and his band have recently released their first album of new worship songs.  Joe longs to see workplaces transformed so that God is glorified in everything that we do.

Please pray for Michael as he commits himself to other ministries and for Femi and Joe as they seek to bring their passion and love of the Lord into the ministry of TWUK.
