Using Every Opportunity
A leader of a Christian Workplace Group was moving jobs recently and simply put a bible quote on the bottom of his goodbye email not really thinking anything of it. This is what he e-mailed in later to tell us...
'CIG is the Capital Investment Group for our Company which approves all major capital expenditure for the Organisation I work for. After thanking me for my 4 years of submissions to this group (as I was changing jobs) one member asked me about my bible quote from Mark 9:33-35 on my goodbye e-mail. So I recounted the quotation.
33 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” 34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest. 35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
A little unnerving and not sure what it all meant but we should always be prepared to give a reason for the hope we have in Jesus.'
